My Californian Epitome, November 2010

I realize that this piece may look amateur, but the runny, loose effect was completely intentional. I really like the way it turned out; it was also really relaxing to work on.

Here's my original reference photo, the cover of Jack's Mannequin's album "Everything in Transit."

Cosmic Mulch, 2010

I did this for my boyfriend a couple of months ago, Cosmic Mulch is the name of the band he and his friends made.

Poppies, 2009

This is one of my favorite watercolor pieces I've done. Unfortunately, it got lost in the shuffle of things at school last year and I never got it back after handing it in, so I don't have the actual original piece anymore.

The watercolor wash background. The grid was created by accident, simply by pressing it with paper towel to absorb my excess paint and water.

And, finally, the finished product!
